Precision radiation dosing tested for tough liver cancers

NCT ID NCT04903548

Summary

This study tested a flexible dosing approach for delivering radiation beads (Y90 SIR-Spheres) directly to liver tumors that cannot be surgically removed. Researchers followed one patient to see if adjusting radiation doses based on individual tumor characteristics could improve treatment safety and effectiveness. The goal was to help doctors deliver more precise radiation doses while minimizing side effects.
