Zapping liver tumors: new study tests electric pulse treatment
NCT ID NCT07192731
Summary
This study is testing a procedure called irreversible electroporation (IRE) to treat early-stage liver cancer that hasn't spread beyond the liver. IRE uses electrical pulses to destroy tumor cells without using heat. Researchers will track how well the treatment eliminates tumors and monitor patients' quality of life and survival over 12 months.
