Shorter surgical clamp time tested for safer liver cancer operations

NCT ID NCT07237204

Summary

This study aims to find the safest way to perform a common step in liver cancer surgery. It will compare two different durations for temporarily clamping blood flow to the liver during tumor removal. Researchers want to see if a shorter 15-minute clamp is just as safe as the longer 45-minute one in preventing serious liver failure after surgery.
