New PET tracer could sharpen liver cancer detection

Summary

This study is testing a new imaging agent called 18F-FSPG to see if it can better detect liver cancer on PET scans. About 110 adults with liver tumors will receive the tracer before surgery or transplant, and the results will be compared with standard scans and tissue analysis. The goal is to improve how doctors find and diagnose liver cancer.
