New scan could spot liver cancer treatment success in minutes, not months

NCT ID NCT06261814

Summary

This study is testing a special type of ultrasound scan to see if it works as well as current MRI or CT scans for checking how well a liver cancer treatment is working. The new scan uses a safe contrast dye and can be done during the treatment procedure, potentially giving doctors an answer within weeks instead of waiting 1-2 months. Researchers want to see if this method is accurate and can help guide treatment decisions sooner for patients with liver tumors.
