Head-to-Head: which drug better controls bipolar mood swings?

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two commonly prescribed medications, lithium or lamotrigine, works better for stabilizing mood in people with bipolar II disorder. Over 6 months, 200 participants will be randomly assigned to take one of the drugs and track their daily mood using a smartphone app. The goal is to provide clearer guidance for doctors treating this understudied condition.
