NCT ID NCT07594535

First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether lisinopril, a common blood pressure medication, can reduce high red blood cell counts in people with polycythemia (a condition causing thick blood). Researchers will measure changes in hemoglobin, hematocrit, and erythropoietin levels in 30 participants over the trial period. The goal is to see if ACE inhibition can help control the condition without the need for frequent blood removal.
