New hope for hard-to-treat leukemia: experimental drug combo enters human testing

Summary
This study tests a new drug called lisaftoclax, given alone or with other medicines, for people whose acute myeloid leukemia (AML) has returned or not improved after standard treatments. The main goals are to check safety and find the best dose. About 682 adults will take part. This is an early-phase trial, so it focuses on safety and dosing, not yet on curing the disease.
