New hope for hard-to-treat leukemia: experimental drug lisaftoclax enters human testing

Summary
This study tests a new drug called lisaftoclax (APG-2575) in people with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that has returned or not improved with standard treatments. The drug is given alone or together with other medicines (homoharringtonine or azacitidine). The main goals are to check safety, find the best dose, and see how the drug moves through the body. About 682 adults are taking part in this early-phase trial.
