Blood test spots lung cancer resistance early in tunisian study
NCT ID NCT07475637
First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looked at 70 people with advanced lung cancer whose tumors had a specific gene change (EGFR mutation) and had stopped responding to initial targeted therapy. Researchers used a simple blood test (liquid biopsy) to check for a new resistance mutation (T790M) that can guide next treatment steps. The goal was to see how often this resistance could be detected in blood and if repeated testing improved detection.
