Glue instead of stitches? new study checks if it works for hernia repair

NCT ID NCT07295379

First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study reviews medical records of up to 148 adults who had hernia repair surgery where a special glue (LiquiBand FIX8) was used to hold the mesh in place. The glue is already approved in Europe, and this research aims to see how well it works and if there are any problems up to a year after surgery. The study does not involve any new treatments or experiments—it simply looks back at what happened to patients who already had this procedure.
