Glue instead of stitches? new study tests mesh fixation for hernia repair

NCT ID NCT07295379

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 09, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at a medical glue called LiquiBand FIX8 that is already approved in Europe. It is used to hold mesh in place during surgery for ventral incisional hernias, which can happen after a previous surgery. The goal is to see how safe and effective the glue is by checking if the hernia comes back within 12 months. About 148 adults who had this type of hernia repair will have their medical records reviewed.
