First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests if a long-acting numbing medicine (liposome bupivacaine) injected near the chest muscles can reduce pain after breast cancer surgery and prevent long-term chronic pain. 120 women having a radical mastectomy will receive the shot and be followed for 6 months. The goal is to see if this approach lowers pain sensitivity and the chance of ongoing pain.
