New device aims to ease chronic back pain without major surgery

Summary

This study tests a small device called LINQ that fuses the sacroiliac joint to treat long-term pain. About 200 adults with chronic low back or buttock pain that hasn't improved with other treatments will be randomly assigned to get the device or continue standard care. The main goal is to see if the device provides better pain relief and safety over 6 months.
