New study aims to prevent leg damage during surgery with simple monitors

Summary

This study looks at whether using non-invasive monitors on the legs during pelvic surgery can spot early signs of reduced blood flow. Thirty adults having minimally invasive pelvic surgery lasting over 2 hours will be monitored. The goal is to gather information to help prevent complications like limb ischemia and well-leg compartment syndrome.
