Gentle light eases Post-LASIK discomfort in groundbreaking study
NCT ID NCT07181668
Summary
This study tested whether gentle red light therapy could reduce dry eye symptoms after LASIK vision correction surgery. Researchers gave 61 patients either real light therapy or a sham treatment before and after their procedures. Patients who received the light therapy reported fewer dry eye symptoms and maintained better tear production compared to those who didn't get the real treatment.
