Shining a light on athletic performance: can red light boost muscle power?
NCT ID NCT06562322
Summary
This study tested whether a treatment called photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT), which uses red or near-infrared light, could improve muscle performance in female futsal players. Fifteen athletes received different doses of the light therapy on their leg muscles before performing strength and endurance tests. The goal was to see if the light could help them jump higher, lift more, and feel less fatigued during exercise.
