Can special lights help seniors sleep better?

NCT ID NCT06292819

Summary

This study tested whether light therapy devices could help older adults with chronic insomnia sleep better. Researchers enrolled 60 participants aged 60+ who had trouble sleeping for at least 3 months. They compared three different light treatments—bright light, near-infrared light, and a combination—measuring sleep patterns, melatonin levels, and daytime sleepiness to see which worked best.
