Light therapy eases dry eyes after LASIK, study finds
NCT ID NCT07181668
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study tested a gentle light therapy (low-level light therapy) given before and after Femto-LASIK eye surgery. 61 adults without prior dry eye received either real or fake light treatments. Those who got the real therapy had more stable tears and fewer dry eye symptoms over 3 months, with no side effects. The approach appears safe and may improve comfort after LASIK.
