First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated Apr 22, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether very light physical activities could give inactive university students a quick mental boost. Researchers had 23 students try 5 minutes of sit-cycling or stand-twisting and measured their brain blood flow, thinking skills, sleepiness, and back pain. The goal was to understand if these simple movements could immediately improve focus and reduce discomfort compared to just sitting.
