Skills training boosts confidence to stay sober, study finds
NCT ID NCT07174960
Summary
This small study tested whether teaching life skills like problem-solving, communication, and stress management could help men with substance use disorders feel more confident in their ability to stay sober. Researchers worked with 45 men in a Cairo hospital who had relapsed before and were in rehab. They measured participants' confidence before and after a multi-week training program to see if it improved.
