Sticky patch could ease wisdom tooth surgery pain

NCT ID NCT07330726

Summary

This study is testing if a small patch containing lidocaine (a numbing medicine) placed directly on the gum can reduce pain after surgical removal of a lower wisdom tooth. It will compare the patch to a placebo (inactive) patch in 21 healthy adults. The main goal is to see if the lidocaine patch provides better pain relief in the first week after surgery.
