NCT ID NCT07185074
First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study tests whether using a lidocaine throat spray along with a lower dose of a muscle relaxant can make placing a breathing tube easier and safer during ERCP, a procedure for bile duct problems. About 188 adults with liver issues will be randomly assigned to either the low-dose combo or the standard dose. The goal is to see if the new approach works just as well while reducing drug side effects and speeding up recovery.
