New approach to ease Post-Mastectomy pain without heavy opioids

NCT ID NCT07475520

Summary

This study tested whether two different doses of lidocaine given through an IV could help reduce nerve pain that develops after breast cancer surgery. Researchers compared the effects in 30 women who had undergone mastectomy and were experiencing neuropathic pain. The goal was to find a safer alternative to opioid pain medications, which can have serious side effects and addiction risks.
