New pain relief method tested for common Women's health procedure
NCT ID NCT07318285
Summary
This study aims to see if applying a small amount of lidocaine, a common numbing medicine, inside the cervix can reduce pain during a hysteroscopy—a procedure to examine the uterus. Researchers will compare lidocaine to a saltwater placebo in 208 women to see which provides better pain relief. Participants will rate their pain during and after the procedure to help determine the most comfortable approach.
