Could a sweet root soothe your skin? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07286487
Summary
This study is testing whether a natural compound from licorice root can help calm skin irritation and repair the skin's protective barrier. Researchers will apply the compound to small areas of skin on 30 healthy volunteers after first causing mild, temporary irritation. The goal is to see if it reduces redness, dryness, and improves skin health as a potential alternative to steroid creams.
