Can therapy heal families? new study targets LGBTQ+ mental health

Summary

This study tests two types of therapy for LGBTQ+ adults (ages 20+) who have nonaccepting parents and are feeling depressed or anxious. One therapy is individual counseling, the other involves family sessions. The goal is to see if these therapies can reduce symptoms and improve family relationships. The study is currently recruiting participants in New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Israel.
