Summary
This study aims to understand how a protein called adrenomedullin helps leukemia cells survive and grow in the bone marrow. Researchers will collect blood and bone marrow samples from 72 adults newly diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). They will study how this protein influences leukemia cells in lab models to learn more about the disease's biology, not to test a new treatment.
