Could adding thyroid hormone boost fertility in PCOS?
NCT ID NCT06041204
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a thyroid medication (levothyroxine) to a standard fertility drug (letrozole) helps women with both PCOS and mild hypothyroidism ovulate and get pregnant more often than letrozole alone. About 200 women aged 20-40 will be randomly assigned to one of two groups and followed for up to 6 months. The goal is to see if the combination leads to higher pregnancy and live birth rates.
