First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking letrozole for one year before surgery can eliminate cancer from lymph nodes in postmenopausal women with early-stage, hormone-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer. All 126 participants will take a daily letrozole pill and then have surgery. The goal is to see if this approach reduces the need for extensive lymph node removal and is safe.
