Study tests if less surgery works as well for stubborn sinus polyps

NCT ID NCT07200336

Summary

This study aims to find out if a less invasive surgery works as well as a more extensive one for people with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps. All participants will receive a biologic drug (anti-IL-5 therapy), and then be randomly assigned to receive either no surgery, simple polyp removal, or more extensive sinus surgery. Researchers will follow 360 participants for 1 to 3 years to compare symptom relief, quality of life, and polyp recurrence.
