Study tests less invasive surgery for thyroid cancer
NCT ID NCT06554652
Summary
This study compares two surgical approaches for papillary thyroid cancer that has spread to a limited number of lymph nodes in the neck. It aims to see if a more targeted, less extensive surgery (selective neck dissection) is as safe and effective at preventing cancer recurrence as the standard, more extensive surgery (modified neck dissection). The trial will also measure how each surgery affects patients' quality of life.
