Fat cell hormone may hold key to beating leukemia drug resistance

NCT ID NCT07163728

Summary

This study aims to find a better way to predict which AML patients will respond well to chemotherapy. Researchers will measure levels of a hormone called leptin in the bone marrow fluid of 86 newly diagnosed patients. The goal is to see if high leptin levels are linked to poorer treatment outcomes, which could help doctors personalize future care.
