Summary

This study tests a new approach to find undiagnosed leprosy cases in Brazil. Researchers will use community education, a screening questionnaire, and trained medical teams to detect more cases than usual. About 1,925 people from selected municipalities will take part, and the study will track new diagnoses over 12 months to see if the strategy works.
