First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to find leprosy cases that are usually missed. Researchers will use community education, a simple questionnaire, and trained medical teams to screen people in high-risk areas of Brazil. About 1,925 people will take part, and the goal is to see if this approach finds more new cases than the usual methods. The results will help understand how many cases go undiagnosed.
