Tiny lens implant could end need for reading glasses

NCT ID NCT03499821

Summary

This study tested a permanent, implantable lens to improve near vision for reading in people with age-related farsightedness (presbyopia). About 41 participants, aged 35-60, had the lens surgically placed in both eyes. Researchers followed them for 6 months to see if the lens safely helped them see up-close text clearly without glasses.
