First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study compares lenient versus strict arm restrictions for 6,300 people after getting a heart device like a pacemaker. The goal is to see if looser rules improve patient comfort and reduce complications such as lead dislodgement or frozen shoulder. Participants are randomly assigned to either strict or lenient instructions, and their recovery is tracked.
