Heart surgery study tests which leg stitch heals best
NCT ID NCT07355452
Summary
This study aims to find out which way of stitching a leg wound is better after surgeons take a vein from the leg for heart bypass surgery. It will compare a single-layer stitch to a multi-layer stitch in 200 patients to see which one leads to fewer problems like infections, bruising, or fluid buildup. The goal is to gather knowledge to help surgeons choose the best closure method to improve patient recovery.
