Scientists measure skin oxygen to understand leg ulcer healing

NCT ID NCT03725111

Summary

This study aimed to understand how compression bandaging, a common treatment for leg ulcers, affects oxygen levels in the skin. Researchers measured oxygen in 38 adult patients with leg ulcers before and during compression therapy. The goal was to gather information to help doctors better manage these difficult-to-heal wounds in the future.
