Heart monitoring upgrade: can new leads catch deadly rhythms better?

NCT ID NCT06745778

First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study watches 50 adults with implanted defibrillators (ICDs) or heart failure devices (CRT-Ds) to see if a special pacing lead can accurately sense dangerous heart rhythms. Participants wear a Holter monitor at the start and after 6 months to record heart signals during rest, walking, and pacing. The goal is to learn if this lead provides stable, reliable readings for better detection of ventricular tachycardia or fibrillation.
