First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study looks at whether smelling lavender essential oil can help reduce nausea and vomiting after surgery. About 128 adults who had abdominal, spine, or other surgeries under general anesthesia will take part. Half will get standard care plus lavender inhalation, and the other half standard care alone. The goal is to see if lavender can lower nausea scores by at least 10% in the first 24 hours after surgery.
