Laughter as medicine: yoga eases stress for moms of critically ill kids
NCT ID NCT07340229
Summary
This study tested whether laughter yoga could help mothers cope with the extreme stress of having a child in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Forty mothers whose children had been hospitalized for at least a week were randomly assigned to either participate in short laughter yoga sessions over a few days or receive standard care. The goal was to see if this simple, non-drug activity could boost mothers' resilience and improve their ability to handle this difficult situation.
