NCT ID NCT07563140

First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested whether a simple, 1-minute daily laughter exercise (called a Laughie) could improve well-being in 20 adults who survived earthquakes in Türkiye. Participants laughed intentionally for one minute each day in a group online session, plus two more minutes on their own, for two weeks. The study measured how feasible and acceptable the program was, and looked for changes in well-being. Results suggest this brief, online laughter practice is easy to do and may help boost mood and mental health after a disaster.
