Can a simple heart test after ablation prevent deadly rhythms?

NCT ID NCT06669299

First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 04, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a non-invasive heart stimulation test (NIPS) done a few days after a successful ablation can help doctors choose the best next step to prevent ventricular tachycardia from coming back. About 51 adults with an implanted defibrillator will be randomly assigned to either a repeat ablation or medication based on the test results. The goal is to see which approach better reduces the risk of the dangerous heart rhythm returning.
