Doctors review past cases to improve future hernia surgeries in kids

NCT ID NCT07397793

Summary

This study looks back at how a single hospital treated children aged 1 month to 15 years who were born with a hole in their diaphragm (congenital diaphragmatic hernia) but weren't diagnosed until later. Researchers are reviewing the medical records of 10 patients to see how well they did after different types of surgery. The main goal is to learn from past experiences to help guide future treatment decisions for this condition.
