NCT ID NCT01252654
First seen May 02, 2026 ยท Last updated May 02, 2026
Summary
This study compared two types of femtosecond lasers (Intralase and Visumax) used to create the corneal flap during LASIK surgery for nearsightedness. 120 adults each had one eye treated with one laser and the other eye with the other laser. The goal was to see if the newer Visumax laser, which causes less pressure on the eye during flap creation, leads to better patient comfort and vision outcomes.
