Laser beam tested for gentler wisdom tooth surgery

NCT ID NCT07297043

Summary

This study tested whether using a special laser (Er:YAG) is better than traditional tools for removing impacted wisdom teeth. Researchers compared the two methods in 24 young adults to see if the laser caused less pain, swelling, and jaw stiffness after surgery. The goal was to find a less traumatic way to perform this common dental procedure.
