Laser beam tested as new hope for chronic vulvar skin condition

NCT ID NCT07240519

Summary

This study is testing if a fractional CO2 laser can be a good alternative to the standard steroid cream (clobetasol) for treating vulvar lichen sclerosus, a chronic inflammatory skin condition. It involves 40 women with a confirmed diagnosis who haven't had prior treatment. Researchers will compare how well each treatment reduces skin inflammation and improves symptoms like itching and pain.
