Zap your heel pain: study pits laser against shock waves

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two non-invasive treatments works better for reducing the pain of plantar fasciitis (heel pain). Researchers will compare High-Intensity Laser Therapy (HILT) to Focused Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (fESWT) in 28 adults with this condition. Participants will receive one of the treatments along with an exercise program and be followed for 12 weeks to measure pain levels and other outcomes.
