Laser vs. scalpel: which is better for gum surgery?
NCT ID NCT07263763
Summary
This study compared two methods for removing overgrown gum tissue in adults wearing braces. Researchers tested whether using a diode laser caused less pain and bleeding and healed faster than the traditional surgical scalpel. Each participant had one side of their mouth treated with the laser and the other side with the scalpel to directly compare the results.
