First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tested four ways to fix a lip-tie (a tight band of tissue under the upper lip) in 94 adults. Surgeons used either a scalpel or a diode laser, and some patients also received a special light treatment after surgery. The goal was to see which method caused less pain, made eating and talking easier, and improved quality of life. Results help dentists choose the best approach for their patients.
